A Winter Scene Photo Shooting Opportunity

Sample of backgroundHave the need for family photos, especially holiday photos?  This is your opportunity to take them yourself and have professional studio lighting and background to make it all come together beautifully.

This is a great way to walk away with the photos you want or need and get them at a price you can handle at this time of year.

For one day we will have a winter scene background setup with studio lighting so you can walk in with your camera, your subjects and start shooting.  Just book the amount of time you want and what time slot(s) you want and you're set.  We will have the background setup, the studio lighting will be in place and we'll be here to help you setup your camera and get the shots you need.

Bring your family, friends or clients and take advantage of this unique opportunity.  You don't have to be experienced with studio lighting or studio photography, but you should be familiar enough to know how to use your camera.  Bringing your camera manual might be a good idea too.  Your camera should be able to work with a hot-shoe mounted flash, so we can fit it with a wireless trigger used with the studio lighting.  If you want to be in the photos, you can bring your tripod, or use ours.  Set the self-timer on your camera and make it happen easily.

Studio StrobeI will be available to help you set the lights according to your specific group of people in each shot, as well as to review your images to see if you need to make some adjustments.

Office This has plenty of areas where your subjects can go to check their hair and makeup before the shoot, as well as plenty of space for waiting for their turn to shoot.  Your timeliness is essential, so you are encouraged to show up early and be ready to shoot when your time slot comes up.  You may book as much time as you want in 1/2 hour increments.  You may also book time slots that are not continuous if that fits your schedule better.  If you are coming in with clients, it would be recommended that you reserve at least 15 minutes before your shoot to allow you time to become at least a little familiar with the equipment and setup.

Total shooting time for the day is just 6 hours, so that means there are only 12 slots available.  So sign up quickly to reserve your time.  Time slots are less expensive by the hour, so be sure to select the time slot you want carefully (above).

Please limit groups to no more than 5 people, or they will be difficult for you to pose on this background.  Pets are way cool with me, but not so much in the Office This building, so please leave them at home, or with a sitter.

Student Reviews:

I have taken every class from Jeff and been on a few excursions and have gone from taking hundreds of snapshots hoping for a few keepers, to taking a handful of photographs and most will be keepers. You will not find many people with as much experience in film development, digital, Photoshop, printing, scanning, business, teaching, studio, modeling, product photography, macro, and a tour guide through Kansas. Jeff can even make a drive through western Kansas a wonderful experience and you will come back with stories to pass on.  Mike B.

I have attended Jeff's photography class as well as a couple of workshops. I was a complete novice with my little point and shoot camera. Jeff insisted the camera didn't matter, it was all about trusting yourself to take it off "auto" and learn to really take pictures. The material was presented in a format easy for me to understand with lots of one on one instruction (and with a sense of humor!) He convinced me I was smarter than my camera, and the proof is in the photos. When people look at my photos and tell me I missed my calling and should have been a photographer... well that's a testimony to Jeff!  Lori K.
